CSIRO scientists assess a gray water treatment technology used in developing testing protocols. |
With the necessity for saving water at its global height, water re-use becomes an issue that requires better knowledge sharing and immediate attention.
Several manufacturers and scientific bodies around the world are looking into solutions to these water shortage problems and many of these solutions include graywater and blackwater treatments and recycling.
Beyond the work being done in laboratories and testing facilities, the problem also offers the plumbing sector a huge opportunity as well as a significant challenge: how can we tackle this issue for long term profitability and sustainability while adhering to relevant, yet inaccurate regulations?
Currently, there is little in the way of regulation in many countries, therefore technologies and market uptake remain in their infancy.
www.worldplumbinginfo.com is committed to becoming the central point for all global information on technologies and regulations and this newsletter is a tool designed to alert readers to these leading edge articles.
However, we would also like you to become involved. Share your knowledge, experience and comments on gray/black water with the rest of the world. Please post at www.worldplumbinginfo.com.
We welcome all insight and knowledge and look forward to hearing from you. It is only when the global plumbing community bands together that we can discover solutions to new problems like water shortages as well as age old plumbing concerns.
